Social NZ Warriors NRL Fantasy Competition 2025

🤖 Thread Summary

The discussion centers around a fantasy rugby league competition where participants are tracking their final rankings and reflecting on recent player performances. Wrighty #208311 made a crucial hail mary trade, BRING DA RUCKUS #208351, but the decision backfired when Drinkwater scored a massive 100 points despite his 47-point average. Warriorsfan92 #208330 shared his season struggles, revealing he climbed from rank 10,000 to 1,200 over the last 10 rounds by sticking to solid fantasy processes despite only captaining correctly 4 out of 24 times.

tyrael #209455 and Tookey 2.Tookey 2.0 #209447 engaged in a close head-to-head battle, with Tookey 2.Tookey 2.0 #210595 ultimately winning thanks to a strong performance from RW Walsh. tyrael #210615 expressed frustration about losing ranks despite scoring 999 points, dropping to rank 82 while questioning whether he can maintain his top 100 position. MM51 #210688 reflected on the season as a struggle due to poor choices and injuries, though he managed to make the final 8, while multiple participants discussed the importance of maintaining consistent strategies rather than constantly changing approaches throughout the season.

Same format as last year which was a H2H contest.

We did talk about promotions between the over run and OG League but will figure that all out - for now let's run with first in first served.
So sign up with out delay this will go like hot cakes if last year is any indicator. Please sign up if you can commit to the whole season as inactives cause issues.

I’m interested, Wrighty - any place to get a steer on how this comp works? Or is that I do coming down the line?
Great to have you on board Milking.
The competition is run in free software/website hosted by NRL.com - just go to NRL.com and click on Fantasy. It is isn't open for 2025 but should be sometime this week.

Once you are in the software you will be able to point and click on players and build your squad while keeping to your salary cap.

Beauty! Thanks mate. Now to spend all my spare time wondering whether Jackson Ford is set for a bounce back year 😂

Haha Indeed. I took worse players than him last year. It is hard under pressure to keep making composed choices. Even though it is a competition amongst all of us think of it is a coopetition where you can get feedback on from everybody in the thread on any player you are contemplating.

I think it’s important to get some level of commitment. If you’re going to say yes you’re in, you need to see the season through. We had about 30% give up halfway through which led to the head to head match ups being useless. You don’t need to spend hours on it but just stay the course so the competition remains competitive. Just my thoughts.
