Former Warriors forward he was signed from the Brisbane Broncos junior after touring NZ with the Western Samoa team. He only played 2 games for the Warriors and wasnt re-signed after 1996. Also played for Hunslet in 1988 and Wakefield Trinity in 1999-01.

He also represented Western Samoa in the 1995 World Cup and Samoa in 2000. Poching moved to Leeds in 2002 and appeared in the 2003 English Challenge Cup Final. He was also a member of the Leeds team that won the 2004 English Super League grand final.
