We lost because Ford dropped the ball about 3 times early in sets in attacking zone when the sharks were dead tired.

Can’t convince me otherwise. His teammates knew it as well. They were filthy.

Also those picky back penalties were so egregious. On on occasion I heard the ref yell to Egan “sorry mate you were half a step too quick”. Bro , what.

Pass it to Roger never worked even when he was here in stint 1. Pass it to SJ worked when he was rookie but he's older. The team is fine in my opinion but Roger is not the Messiah. It's real that senor Webby can get things wrong just like the players.

Take our medicine. Get ready for next week. We know we can do it. So does everyone else. Lift.

Rogers no good going sideways. His trench is straight running, at big men preferably and then stepping at the last minute. Also making huge yardage meters which Tuapiki does not do.

I honestly think Pompey is super underrated in centres and we should move RTS to fullback and Ali n pomp’s in centres

A lot actually, his kicking game tonight is what kept us in the game! I though he was getting very slow ball from lussick.
SJ may have lost his electric speed off the mark.

But with Wade's directness and ability to step out, he engages the markers and hold's the D up just enough with a bullet out in front. It's nearing Smither's level of marker engagement and subtle craft around the ruck.

It's what gives SJ that extra bit of time from the speed he's lost to square up, jink out and really ignite that right edge.

What i'm trying to say is, pray for Wade.

I agree mate! We need Egan so bad!

I have to wonder if egan being off so long was injury or even concussion related. Otherwise it makes no sense to leave a top 5 hooker of the game on the bench so long.

Lussick - if Egan is healthy then lussick has no business near the 17. we terrible in the trials and once again was far below what the warriors should expect from a dummmy half. the two runs from the back of the scrum in the second half was certainly a choice.

Metcalf - that is one of the best individual tries you will see this season. so i now understand what people talk about x factor and some speed. in saying that the rest of his game was fairly non existent/subpar. I still don't think he's our answer to play 6 along SJ. maybe give him the Ale's bench spot.... at least it will get used that way if we need a late game spark

Ford - along with jazz thought trial form was pretty poor so it surprised me that either of them kinda made it in the team. i thought both played themselves out of a jersey. in saying that Capewah is an ungraded version of ford. we are essentially playing the same style of back rower - high effort guys. Ford doesnt seem like he can run a good line either.

I thought that Dallin getting tackled in the air while half over the line should be a penalty try. If he doesn't get tackled in the air he definitely scores so it's foul play to stop a try being scored.
That and the following mistakes stopped our momentum in its tracks.

Was at the game and the announcer was absolute crap, childish and embarrassing and the club will get an email from me and I invite others to do the same otherwise we will have to put up with it all season

I agree with Tragic above - penalty try all day and to hear the ref say he couldn’t be sure that DWZ would get the ball to ground was laughable. If no PT then at least a sinbin for professional foul yet ref says it wasn’t foul play.

But Egan is so injury prone in my opinion. We need to future proof
