Niukore out is a blow. Did he bust his foot running over too many Dolphins during that trial. Man was looking forward to seeing him add some starch off the bench. Let's hope it comes good and we get a good run with injuries. It seems the last few years we get close to a full squad and someone gets injured or suspended.

Metcalf was given a lot of time during the trials. Looking forward to see how he goes.

The last trial gives me plenty of confidence as it looked like everyone was on the same page. Even with some of the guys out like Niukore or CNK the replacements are coming into a pretty settled group.

Jack Williams 100th game against us. Always worry when it’s the case with some teams really lifting. Interesting to see half his family lives here, really like him as a player

Nah will be like crokers 300th mate, no sweat! 😁

1) Niukore not on the nrl.com injury list
2) Is Pompey at 18 a soft signal that Rocco is under injury recovery watch?

Man I love the call from webby on jazz, so easy to pick jazz considering his stature at the club. No niukore, but he's given it to the two who played well over the trials.

It's Ale's spot to lose now, go well son!!!
Ale is more a like for like swap with Niukore, offers a bit more versatility than Jazz I feel.

So feels like the right call anyway.

Maybe Pompey is there to cover for Roccos sore leg.

More likely Pompey is there because he is known as the hardest trainer at the Warriors and you have to reward that kind of preseason effort if you want guys to keep it up.
Pompey at 18 covers all the outside backs, if Taine gets concussed then RTS to fullback and Pompey to centre. So Pompey is not a bad choice for an 18.

I am happy Ale is getting the first crack! Like you said he's versatile, and strong! He's not going to let the team down.
It's a fascinating choice that will get us talking most of tonight I suspect. It would have been Jazz vs Ale.
We got out muscled having Jazz at the end of last year so I think Ale is on as the bigger man based on learnings from the playoffs in particular.
I suspect Ale will be on a short leash. If he plays soft and doesn't front up I can see him getting yanked and Jazz coming in as quick as Game two. Opportunity doesn't knock twice Tom Ale must seize this match. This Friday is career defining in my view as far as he is concerned. There may be some hyperbole from me in there, but certainly Tom must grab his chance here and repay the selectors for their faith in him.

If Tuapiki plays well we'll win. If he gets found out by there kicking game (trindall is better than Moylan) and can't do the right side shifts we might be in trouble.

Charnze played well basically every single time he wasn’t concussed last year so is a pretty big out.
