NRL NRL 2026 General Recruitment Thread

If i was Ponga and his agent i would jump off the good ship HMS Knights for two reasons
1) It sounds like their win ratio isn't going to improve next year even though they will become a potent offence
2) he could use a breath of fresh air and has gone stale there. Needs a challenge.
His dad Andre may still be his manager or at least very involved it seems.
1 -haven't looked at their draw, though can only play behind the pack you got.
2 - yip for sure, hope he plays for māori in 26, keen to see him play in a different structure.

Even with knights chipping in and his age, he's an expensive gamble for many teams.
But his potential in a good system, could be anything for a couple more years.
Or am I drinking too many milkshakes 🤣

To add to this, their pack is looking like one of the worst in the competition next season. Wouldn't be surprised if they notched up another spoon

Knights fans reckon the mole is trying to sell a story of Payne Haas in talks to knights because his family has spent Christmas in Newcastle. Ponga to rugby and Haas to knights is what they’ve come up with. I certainly think the $1.4 million that Ponga is reportedly on isn’t outside the realm of possibility that someone pays that to Haas

Knights fans must still be on the bags at kick-ons to come up with that cocaine fever dream

Back up Centre at Cronulla.
Titans have signed the 26 yo for the 2027 amd 2028 seasons with T coach Josh Hannay stating -he is one of the most underrated centres in the NRL
Thats the conclusion we came to last year.

Like Tuaupiki, still backup at that age you need to go seek opportunities

CNK tough durable reliable.
And my memory says not too many games off with injury.
But if CNK gets an injury TT is next man up?
I find it mysterious that Ricky Stuart dropped CNK but CNK is glued to our number 1 position despite I think a reducing performance in linking passing etc.
I see CNK time here a lot like that at the raiders, first season was gang busters followed by decline to which he ended up in nsw cup there before he came home. That’s no knock on him because he’s an international player, but it’s based on effort rather than skill in reality. He sets an example that you want followed and he’d be the ideal Kalani Going type player in nsw cup, though I don’t see that happening. I don’t think we can afford to play CNK at fullback for the next couple of seasons when all the other fullbacks are offering so much more towards points. I agree with those saying RTS to fullback and we could look to recruit for 2027? Also give RTS the opportunity if he had a big to play on, though would be 34 by the 2027 season. I can’t see Tuaupiki here past 2026?
