It has been bought to our attention that our relationship with Hodges Agency has broken down to the point that it is affecting the integrity of the competition.
For that Gus’s Wizards humbly apologises with a level of humility rarely seen in professional sport. We intend to deescalate the feud and return to a professional relationship as expected within the NRL business.
In the aftermath of our recent falling out, we have reflected, over-reflected, and then reflected again — and in every scenario, the common denominator was us. Entirely us. No grey areas. Just us. Hodges is a man of integrity and has a fine reputation within the industry.
Emotions ran high, wires were crossed, and egos became involved. Two powerful characters crossing paths and our integrity slipped.. We regret our words, our tone and in hindsight, our decision to type anything at all.
Hodges Agency has always operated with the utmost professionalism, integrity, and class — qualities we momentarily failed to match. For that, we offer an unreserved apology and a sincere desire to reset, rebuild, and move forward in a far more constructive manner.
We’ve also invite Chris back to our private golf course. Despite this temporary setback, you are always welcome.
In addition, to the other players, the fans and especially Wrighty, we will tone it down a bit.
Should there be an opportunity to reopen dialogue, we would welcome it wholeheartedly and promise to approach future dealings with calmer heads, better judgement, and considerably fewer emails.
Thank you for your time and patience
With sincere apologies
Gus’s Wizards
Ps we don’t have crayons at Gus’s Wizards but have supplied an attached sorry note
