100% this.

And it's common sense.

People thinking just get rid of Berry, aren't watching the Dally M winger of the year scoring tries for fun or whose leading the kick chase or listening to the coach.

I'd be very surprised if Berry is replaced considering our right side was on fire.

I'd be looking over my shoulder if I was Pompey.

Sorry to burst everyones Berry :ROFLMAO: , but alot of the time it was CNK popping it to DWZ while Berry acted as a decoy runner cutting in...

RTS taking Montoyas wing spot and Ali taking Pompeys spot works though...

We are dreaming if we think RTS can be farnworth! Rts is going to be behind the 8 ball from the get go, I think he's professional enough to do a good job but he's not a gamebreaker anymore.
Totally disagree.

Our attack plays this year are sharp enough for a gumby like Berry and a slow very limited center like Pompey to keep Ali Leiataua out.

The bar is very low and the platform for a center under Webster is very sharp.

Roger still has the shimmy and is a strike player on another level to Berry and Pompey when he runs. He runs hard and direct, and he has a slightly above average pass compared to those two.

Roger will dominate next year and be the center of the season, I know he is getting older, I know he will be out of position from his league years, but the same posters in this forum that wanted him and center and got laughed at, now have the backing of Andrew Webster behind their foresight.

RTS will be a beast next year at left or right center, you read it here first....he will be in the Dally M center of the year calculus and people can quote me come end of twenty twenty four.

BTW I am not a Roger fanboi either, rather I can see his physical and mental attributes, his excellent defensive drive will quickly push him up the ladder of the NRL centers.

Roger won Dally M fullback while being a very incomplete fullback, he had shit support play at the back and the bare bones of a ball playing fullback, so he won it not on skill, rather on effort.

At Center in Rugby league his skills are better suited and he should have been the best center of a NZ generation were he slotted their years ago, the things he did at fullback with effort on effort are the very things that make a world class center.

Ali, the one game NRL centre?

My guess is it will be Berry and RTS.

Be interesting to see how Webster manages this.
Honestly, I'd love to see a Berry, Leiataua centre combo. That right side doesn't need a super dynamic centre in my opinion, Berry is only going to get better and has already shown that with a bit of confidence he's a valuable role player. The other side of the field is a bit different... I think we need an Ali type to make that side a real threat. Whether it's outside TMM or Metcalf, he would be difficult to contain and he's shown in cup that he isn't selfish when it comes to feeding the winger either.
I really want to be wrong, but I can't shake the feeling that signing RTS was a mistake.

We will see 🤔

RTS will make other players around him better even if he isn't the best player in the squad anymore. I think he was signed more for his professionalism, leadership and ability in terms of what he can bring to the club with lifting other players around him.

Yep, the Warriors didn't use their RTS-Signal to get RTS to come back. No heroics needed. He does not need to Be The Man performance and/or scoring wise. Just be Mr Solid, Dependable and Professional.

I see Roger's main role as being yet another experienced player driving into the younger players the things the Warriors need to keep doing and start doing to become Top 8 Regulars.

Webby and the Warriors will look to improve on last year one game at a time as that was their mantra and it is the only way to realistically go.
Pre-season will pick the starting team and those in line.
I don't think x-factor will be the top attribute looked for but those with it applying themselves to doing the basic job properly as part of the team will be in the mix.
I'm interested what the nrl do with the 2024 draw from the Warriors perspective. I think we're going to get no easy runs like last year which on paper they thought was our level and we surprised them. I expect a much harder draw in 2024 to keep this Warrior upstart team struggling.
I think we'll surprise them again 😆
With the one game at a time approach each game the challenge will be to learn from it and I think Webby & team have the capacity to do that and the players who don't or can't learn from a basic support or enabling role will be dealt with accordingly.
Bring it on!
